This photo is taken in Croatia, in Gorski Kotar, one of a lot of beautiful places in Croatia. It is Lake Lokve - an artificial lake depth of about 40 m and the size of about 2,5 km². Although the Lokve Lake is artificial lake, it fits almost naturally into the environment of coniferous forest. Today is a tourist attraction and is one of the favorite tourist destinations. Lokve Lake is a favorite place for fishermen. It is rich in trout, carp, chub and many other species of fish.Time
It was November 7th 2015. It was a cold , almost winter day. I was driving home to my town Koprivnica, from Krk - one of the most beautiful old towns in Croatia. Usually, my family and I travel by the highway , but this time we decided to go the old road, to see the natural beauty of Gorski Kotar. It was 4.33 PM and almost night. It was worth it to go the old road and see this beauty.Lighting
It was very late for this part of of the year, night was coming. But sky was blue and reflected its color to a calm water of the lake.Equipment
I used my NIkon D90 with Sigma 70-300 on it. Had to be very quickly to catch the last blue sky. Didn't have tripod!Inspiration
I know how beautiful my country is, but I was amazed with this beauty! I knew about that lake but never visited before. This time I saw it from my car from the distance and couldnt do anything else then stop and watch and make some photos.Editing
I am still learning Photoshop, step by step. Usually I use sharpening, perspective correction, saturation and similar, I would say basic processings! Also use some Nik efex filters. In my camera bag
I have my Nikon D90 with Nikkor 18-55 on it. Depending from places and motives that I want to see I use Sigma 70-300.Feedback
No matter how much you know about photography, post processing etc I think if we love or like the object , photo will be better. Somehow photographing became more subjective then objective!
