When I visit the local wetlands, there will be days when I may see what seems to be thousands of blackbirds. I always love to see that spot of red on their shoulders. What I almost never see, is a single bird, sitting where there is nothing to get in the way of a shot. Not to mention having one sitting there... waiting patiently for me to get a few shots in before saying goodbye and flying off. I always say thank you to them for being so friendly.
