The interior hall of a historic building AirBnb in Victoria, BC we stayed in.

Dora was such a well behaved dog! Our friends were dog sitting, and she came out and enjoyed our picnic in the park with us.

Caught the mood lighting of Al's Den in Portland. I really love the low-light ability of the Pen-F, especially in monochrome mode.

Behind The Lens

Location

Outside Velvet Underground on Queen St W, in Toronto.

Time

At night, just before seeing a show.

Lighting

Since it's a busy area of Toronto, there's plenty of street and sign light, great for bokeh.

Equipment

Olympus Pen-F, with 45mm f/1.8 lens, no flash (the camera's built in 5-axis stabilization is great for shooting in low light)

Inspiration

The camera was still relatively new, and with it's small size I wanted to try taking it to a show. My brother is not a fan of photos, so took this while he wasn't looking :)

Editing

None! The Pen-F has a great monochrome mode built in, this is straight from the camera.

The Pen-F, 17mm f/1.8, 45mm f/1.8, an extra battery and the little flash that comes with.
