Location
This cute family portrait was taken at Valparai, Western Ghats, India. At this particular place we can spot lot of Lion tailed macaques, if we are at right time...Time
It was an wonderful day for me. We have started our trip by early morning 5:00am on April 3rd of 2016. This photo was taken around 10:30am.Lighting
Yes. Lighting... For me it is much important than any other techniques in photography. But when I was reached the spot, there was no good lighting since the place was covered by trees. So I have waited for the better lighting for this beautiful shot.Equipment
This shot was taken on Nikon D3300 with AF-S DX 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED VR II at 200mm focal length.Inspiration
Both of their EYES... Yes, their way of sitting and the feel in their eyes... There was lot of lion tailed played around but this family was looking alone for sometime. That inspired me to capture the feel in their eyes...Editing
Yes. I did some post processing on this shot. As I already said, there was lot of trees covered the lighting and my camera is not good for higher ISOs. So I have shot this with low ISO and slow shutter speed. The result was little dark. So I went for post processing to enhance exposure and lighting...In my camera bag
Usually I take Nikon D3300 Which is the only camera I have :) The lenses are AF-S 18-55 and AF-P DX 70-300 (Which replaced my 55-200mm).Feedback
Lion tailed are endangered and can find only at Western Ghats. So we have to plan accordingly and have to wait for the right time to spot those. Usually it come out in summer for searching food and water.
