This was a pose that this couple came up with. I thought it was cute with Jack Daniels cruzin' with them.

Location
This was taken just off the 126 near Santa Paula in California.Time
This was taken about 8 in the morning.Lighting
The lighting was strong daylight early morning with no clouds.Equipment
My camera is the Nikon D800. The lens I used for this shot was the Sigma 24-105 f/4. I was zoomed in at 105 with an ISO of 200 because I wanted to capture the shadows inside the car at f/8. My shutter speed was at 1/60 of a second and was hand held. I did not use a flash. We also had a flawless 1958 Chevy Impala that was the Dad's car.Inspiration
I was doing a Save The Date photo shoot for a couple that were getting married in a couple of months. We were trying different things and we decided to shoot one in the car shooting thru the windshield with him holding a bottle of Jack Daniels. It was just something fun to try. The couple were wanting different shots so we all were coming up with different scenarios.Editing
I first did most of the editing in Lightroom. But the windshield had glare from the sun, a big bug mark so I went into Photoshop to clean up the windshield. Now I was happy with the results especially because Photoshop is still new and a bit intimidating still for me.In my camera bag
I have quite a bit as far as equipment goes. I pick and choose what I bring with me depending on what I am shooting. I also have quite a bit for doing studio work but to date I have only used them a couple of times. I have several backpacks and a belt that I can carry lenses with. My cameras are the Nikon FA (film camera that I have owned since the early 70's), Nikon D70 (my first digital), Nikon D7000, and Nikon D800 (my first full frame digital and the camera I use now all the time). Lenses I have many and cover everything from 10mm to 900mm depending on what camera I use. I also have a macro 105 f2.8.Feedback
This was a paid assignment for me and I wanted many different combinations of scenarios for them to be able to pick the one that really met their needs. This shot they loved and have made a big picture to hang on their wall. I tried to listen to exactly want they wanted and had fun shooting them in different poses so the advise I would give is shoot many pictures of different poses.
