When we arrivedin Nebraska after celebrating our Easter Sunday with the family, the night was very nice and I was able to captures stars and milky way. Then we drove to the Platte River at dawn, we heard their whoops "sounds" but we cannot see them so my husband and I decided to stop in a pharmacy parking lot to take a little power nap. During the time the temperature changed and rain came and greeted us. The front was moving and so terrible in my back pain. We sat in our truck and waiting for the morning to come. My husband woke me up and said honey you might want to take photos of the lightning. So I said yes. My mind was so willing but as soon as i pointed my camera to the lightning my eyes close and I was frozen and never knew that I fall asleep. Then I woke up again because the lightning was all over, seems to me we are at the middle of the lightnings. So temping to capture but I was so achy and sleepy.
At 7 o'clock in the morning the rain stop and we went to drive again and chased the Cranes, We went into the Audubon Bird Sanctuary and I read the sign do not approach the bird by feet, use your behicle as blind. So we were just in the area where behicle can run. the situation was tough but among the captures that I had is this one. I was lucky to capture the newly growing flowers in the corn field and have it as my foreground. Though I don't have the super telephoto, I still able to use my 400mm to capture the group of cranes as they were having their activity.
