In Ste Baume, France. The famous grotto is a cave high up in the side of the mountain. Many people make the 2 km trek up for services nearly every day. It has been a religious centre almost ever since Mary Magdalene spent the last 30 years of her life there, after arriving in the south of France by sea from the Holy Land with others including St Maximin. The only man-made part of the structure is the outside wall closing the entrance to the natural cave, to the left of the picture.
