Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my parents garden in Norfolk, UK.

Time

It was taken in the early afternoon.

Lighting

Time of day is critical when shooting flowers as you get the most benefit when the sun shines brightly giving you the bold colours.

Equipment

Shot with a Sony a5000 I used the standard lens and zoomed in for a macro shot

Inspiration

Visiting home always gives me bright memories and we used to love playing in the garden as children.

Editing

Because of the time of day there was no post processing on this photo, it's nature in all it's glory.

In my camera bag

I always have my sony a5000 with the standard lens but most importantly a spare memory card! I tend to take more photos than I need so on long trips I always make sure there is a spare memory card incase mine gets full or corrupt.

Feedback

Spend some time waiting for the perfect shot, part of getting a good photo is being the person patient enough to wait for the world show you it all that it has to give. Anybody can aim a photo and capture a shot but getting the lighting and composition right takes practice and time.
