Behind The Lens
Location
Cove head Prince Edward Island Canada. It was in the national park. One of the most photographed lighthouse on P.E.l!Time
It early in the morning about 9am I was a photography student it was -30c with the wind chill I had no gloves up to my waist in snow. With a tilt shift Lens I barely knew how to use!!Lighting
It was a crisp cool light with the sun light bouncing of the ice and snow. It was just days after a snow and ice storm!Equipment
It was shot with canon 5d Mark 3 and a tilt shift 24mm canon lens. Hand held.Inspiration
I always go to this place on a many many occasions to take great pictures. It is always a favourite spot for photographers to go and take pictures.Editing
Very little I use raw change color shift use some sharping a bit of color saturate for the sky and bring up the lighthouse in brightness. Take out some iOS noise. In my camera bag
I useaully have canon 1ds Mark 3 5dmark 3 and 7d Mark 2. A tripod , 17-40 mm ,400mm f4 300mm f4, 70-200mm f2.8 and my prime lens I will use on a regular basis is the 24-105 mm f4, which I think is a good over all walk around lens for landscape and all around uses! I will also use a number of filters polarizer and nd filters and 10 stops.Feedback
The unique weather circumstances does not present its self like that very often. a major snow storm just after a major ice storm does not happen very often!! Keep a close eye on the weather and know your area very well! If the weather presence it self then you will have to go after it. You have to keep going back time after time! 90% of getting a great picture is being in the right place at the right time the other 5% is knowing what too do when you get there!!
