It was a quiet morning as the sun was low in the sky behind me, casting an eye-catching ray of light on the trees along the shore across the lake. The still air made for calm waters creating a perfect pallet to reflect the dramatic clouds in the sky.Equipment
This is a good example of the adage, “your best camera is the one you have with you.” I shot this with my trusty iPhone 6.Inspiration

Always be on the lookout for your next best shot, even when you are not purposefully out scouting for photos. No matter what the equipment, thoughtful framing and composition will make for the best shot. In this case I applied the rule of thirds. For landscape photography think about the foreground and background.
