Llanddwyn is a small tidal island off the coast of Anglesey at Newborough Warren surrounded in myth and history.

The name LLanddwyn means ‘The Church of St Dwynwen’.
St.Dwynwen is the welsh patron saint of lovers whom lived during the 5th Century AD. The stories tell of a troubled love life which resulted in her retreat to the solitude of this island where she built a chapel.
Following her death, the island became extremely popular with pilgrims visiting the island to leave offerings at her shrine.
