Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on the kitchen table of my apartment. And it is one of those ideas that comes when the weather is boring and there is not much to do.

Time

It was an afternoon and outside there was an annoying overcast so i decided to do some experiments at home.

Lighting

I was using the light coming from the window. I like to use the natural light and to play with it.

Equipment

It was my Canon 1ds mk II with a 70-200 f4. And the camera was on a tripod.

Inspiration

This Voigländer is my dads old camera. He was teaching me to use this when i was a child, and i liked it since. It produces still very crisp images and i still use it. But since I think that it is really pretty as well I wanted to take some pictures of it. And that is when i started experimenting and then I got this image.

Editing

I never do too much post processing. I use for 95% of my work only some lightroom post processing. This has only been changed to B/W and fixed contrast.

In my camera bag

Now i have recently upgraded my equipment, but i carry two bodies(full frames) and my two favourite lenses the 24-70 2.8 and the 70-200 2.8. If I need to do something particular i bring something else, but with those 2 lenses i do most of what I need.

Feedback

Have patience and find nice subjects. This type of photography gives you much time to experiment.
