Behind The Lens

Location

At the mouth of the Navarro River where it meets The ocean in Mendocino County, California. Several times a year it is block by the changing sands from the tides and currents and I took this shot just days after it broke through.

Time

We were at the beach all afternoon and this shout was taken just after 5:00 pm on a winter's day.

Lighting

Always great sunsets here and I didn't change a thing to capture it!

Equipment

I used my Nikon D7200 with the Nikkor 70-300 mm telephoto lens, handheld.

Inspiration

Just looking westward and couldn't resist the shot!

Editing

I let the shot stand with no intervention.

In my camera bag

I also carry a Nikkor 18-55 mm lens
