Behind The Lens

Location

I was on vacation in the lower Florida Keys on Big Pine Key with my husband (now passed away) and our four boys. We took a day trip to Key Largo. This photo was taken from the shore at the Caribbean Club. An amazing establishment that can boast a Humphrey Bogart movie was filmed there! Many boaters enjoy this location just for the gorgeous sunsets.

Time

This photo was taken April 9th, 2010 at sundown. Approximately 9:00-9:30 pm

Lighting

The only special thing about the lighting in this photo, all the amazing natural lighting.

Equipment

My equipment consisted of one brand spanking new Canon Rebel, an old weathered picnic table that my butt sat atop of and the inspiration of the view ;-)

Inspiration

Two words. The view!

Editing

I cannot remember if I did any post processing. Too much time has passed.

In my camera bag

I carry my camera, a telephoto lens, an extra battery and my battery charger, an extra memory card and my good intentions.

Feedback

I am just a hobbyist photographer and I use the word photographer loosely! I just really enjoy capturing what I see so I can share that with others who might appreciate similar things. I guess my advice would then be, follow you eye, your heart and your soul.
