Dear Kristina
Thank you very much for asking me. I took an edited b&w portrait from myself an cutted out some pieces. Than I started with a black background an placed the main pieces (eyes, mouth and nose) with the liquify tool I brought them to the shape I wanted them to have and with layers and masks I let the parts vanishe that are hidden by other objects. With dodge and burn I made the shadow and lightning to bring up this 3d effect. Than I added the other pieces the same way until it looked finished ;)
