Location
The photo was taken in Agaete, a tiny fishers village in the northwest of Gran Canaria. It's one of my vavourite areas for sunsets near the sea.Time
It was at sunsset of course. Great light that day with Tenerife island as background and a really low tide helped.Lighting
Natural light for this selfie (it's me). Long exposure and a bit of postprocesing in Lightroom.Equipment
I used a Canon 60D and a 10-18mm lens with a DN filter. A tripod and remote shutter too...Inspiration
I wanted give power to the seascape with a person and there was only me...so... ;-)Editing
Lighroom. Temperature, high and low lights and noise por the darker areas. A bit of satiration in the colour always help.In my camera bag
A lot of things... Canon 60D and Canon G16 Canon 18-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 EF-S IS STM Canon 10-18 f/4.5-5.6 EF-S IS STM Canon 70-300 for surfing shots ND filter Polarized filter (never use it) 2 extra batteries for each camera. 2 tripods; a tiny manfrotto and a big and cheap Hama Remote shutter (cheap and simple) Cleaning lenses kit always near Food and water 2 torches; one low power and one really high power (1800 lumens) A jacketFeedback
Just be patient and know well the place. Stay there a time seated before hold the camera. Have cleaning lenses kit on the pocket...you know, the marine spray... Be safe and before leave home study weather conditions. Tides, sun timetable, wind... Sey some one where you are going to stay. Go with full battery on telephone. Study light well becouse golden hour is just 10 minutes ;-)
