Behind The Lens

Location

This photo took place in an empty pool at one of the most beautiful hotel in Budva, Montenegro.

Time

We arrived at the location around 12 pm and we waited about an hour for the sun to fall enough to create beautiful shadows in the pool because that moment fits great in the whole concept.

Lighting

I absolutely wanted to use natural light, therefore i did not use any artificial light.

Equipment

This was Nikon d5100 and i used 35 mm lenses.

Inspiration

I was inspired by one old tale from my country about a women who was in love in a naval officer. When he went on a sailing she waited for him to return home for a long time. After many years spent on waiting, she learned that he died at the sea by drowning. Beacuse of great love for him, she decided to drown herself in hope they will be reunited in the deep, blue ocean.

Editing

Later in post production, I added a blue tone in order to evoke the sense of the depth of the sea.

In my camera bag

Nikon d5100 and 35 mm lense.
