Location
This photo was taken from Kangaroo Point looking over the Brisbane River and City.Time
The Sun had set about 15 to 20 minutes prior.Lighting
It was timed so that there was still enough light in the sky not to make it black but not too much light to wipe out the city lights.Equipment
This photo was taken on a Nikon D5200 using a Tamron 18-300 lens. The Camera was sat on a weighted tripod and a cable shutter release was used.Inspiration
My wife and I had planned to capture the City Lights. She has some beautiful photos of this.Editing
I have found that my good photos need minimal processing. I would have added some clarity, vibrance and probably varied the lighting. In my camera bag
Only being relatively new at digital photography I only have the one camera and the single lens. I always have a tripod, flash and cable shutter release. I have found it handy to Carry peanuts to entice wildlife.(That a tip from my wife.)Feedback
Tripod and cable shutter release are essential. Try different settings until you get what you like. This photo was taken at an ISO 200, aperture of 200 and shutter speed of 30 seconds. The longer you have the shutter the more smooth the water and the reflections are more prominent.
