Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken at the most Southern point of Africa, L'Agulhas, Western Cape. This is were the two oceans meets. The photo was taken one year ago when I started photography.Time
It was taken in the afternoon while walking down the rocky beach.Lighting
The sun was not a factor seeing that I was only a total beginner at photography. I was also very afraid of putting the camera on manual. I shot at focal length of 80 mm, F/8 and 1/500 of a second.Equipment
I used my first DSLR Canon 1200D, with my 75 - 300mm Canon lens.Inspiration
I know this coast line by heart, and new this huge shipwreck was just waiting all these years for me to shoot. The idea of the ocean that is so powerful, but yet it could not destroy this wreckage. The wreckage tells me a story of fear and uncertainty.Editing
As I was only a beginner and did not even had any post-processing program, no changes of any kind was made.In my camera bag
My Canon camera with a 75 - 300 mm, a 18 - 55 mm lens. Recently I bought a 50 mm lens, and a variable ND filter. Then I have my tripod with remote cable.Feedback
I have learned a lot since I completed two online photography courses. But I can say to others, keep trying and take as much photos as you can. Every photo you take you are improving. Since I joined viewbug I have learned even more, by viewing other photographers work, I was more and more inspired by their work.
