When you visit Amsterdam you have to visit this museum. The best in the Netherlands. And so original, so progressive, an example for all over the world.

Another FE-shot. I reduced the effect by cropping the front pillars out of the capture. The Rijksmuseum (the main museum of the Netherlands, with a lot of works of the grand masters of Holland, is designed by Pierre Cuypers, an architect of the most southern province in the Netherlands (in fact he doesn't belong to Amsterdam regarding his filosophy and kind of buildings). Despite of that his two most famous buildings are situated in Amsterdam (Central Station an the Rijks Museum). Most of his ("normal") work was the designing of churches (RK) in the southern parts of the Netherlands (probably more than 100 churches, all more or less uniform).
