Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a small farm in Windsor, California in Sonoma County.

Time

This was taken about 11:00 a.m.

Lighting

Natural lighting

Equipment

Sony Nex-6 with a 16-55mm lens, hand held.

Inspiration

This farm is right on a main country road and is easily accessible. The exciting thing for me was the farm has emus, sheep, ducks and Brahma bulls all sharing the same pasture. There were 6 large emus and I would stop frequently to try and get more interesting shots of them. This day they were just all mingle together, living very happily.

Editing

Just a few tweaks of contrast.

In my camera bag

I carry a Sony a6000 and a Sony Nex-6. My lenses are a 16-55mm, a 14mm, 50-210mm and a fish-eye.

Feedback

My advice would just be willing to stop your car, get out and explore some scenes that seem very routine and ordinary. Sometimes the results can be special.
