I love the cat looking at the camera. It's almost protective of it's companion. This is a beautiful piece. Stunning work

Fuji X-T10Inspiration
My son and I had a layover in Chicago. We were in the middle of a train trip from Seattle to New York. When we were walking across the street pictured behind the subject. My son asked me if I had noticed the cat in the rain coat. I responded in disbelief, and asked him to show me. We walked back across the street, and yes there was in fact a cat with a rain coat. I gave my son some money, and told him to offer it to the man and ask if we could take a picture of his cat. I was carrying my Fuji X-T10. I knew that I would have to shoot it low, so instead of using the eye piece. I flipped out the screen on the back. When the gentleman agreed that we could take the picture. I set the camera on the ground and tilted the lens up towards him for the shot. I was so happy when I saw the picture. He was talking to a man off camera to his right and not looking directly at the camera. However, the cat was staring right through me. I think that is what makes it such a great picture. It is my favorite of all the pictures I have taken.Editing
It was taken in color. I converted it to B&W. Minor sharpening after that. It was almost perfect out of the camera. In my camera bag
On this I only had the Fuji X-T10.Feedback
To catch a image like this you just need a camera around your neck and a busy city street. An attentive 12 year old scouting for you does not hurt. I would not have this picture if it wasn't for him.
