I photographed this image of Mount Fuji in Japan at Lake Kawaguchiko.Time
The time I photographed was around 6 to 7am in the cold morning. It was winter time so it was freezing cold say about -5 or -10 I could say.Lighting
I wanted to be orange colored sunrise so I woke up in the early morning when its still dark. Also I wanted some movement of the clouds so I used my ND filter to get that archivement.Equipment
Camera 5D Mark III, Canon 17 - 40mm F4 L Lens, B+W ND Filter and a Manfrotto tripod,Inspiration
I wanted to photograph the Mount Fuji because basically I never been there before even though I live in Tokyo, Japan which is only a hours to get by road. Well I guess lot people photograph it and it is now World Heritage so it made me wanted to see the actual mountain and take some photo.Editing
For post processing I adjust some contrast and some colour to satuate the orange and yellow to stand out.In my camera bag
My equipment in my bag I normally have Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 24 - 70mm F2.8 Mark II L Lens and Canon 17 - 40mm F4 L lens.Feedback
If you want to photograph places that is iconic which is also the Mount Fuji I always try to photograph differently. There is lot of people out there photograph the same subject and both amazing but different look always stands out. Try find places from a different angle and explore places a lot like a true Professional Photographer. Try different equipment and think about technique which you might discover a different way to photograph. These two things will make your photograph different.
