Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken a beautiful winters day in Gothenburg, Sweden. I saw the lights lighting up the snow, it felt magic and i just had to photograph it. The lights changed colors so i took several pictures and this one is the one i like the most. I wanted to capture the sparkling in the snow. I had to cross a road to get this picture but taking risks can be rewarding.

Time

I was on my way home and waiting for the tram. Perhaps needless to say i missed a few trams and got home a little late :-) The photo was taken 2016-01-18 at 6.44 pm.

Lighting

The led lights changing color were put on a lamppost next to the road. Those lights were the only light i used taking the photo.

Equipment

This was shot with a handheld Fujifilm X-S1. No other equipment used.

Inspiration

I saw those beautiful lights on the snow and i felt that i must photograph that.

Editing

I increased the colors a bit to get that magic feeling that i felt.

In my camera bag

Canon Eos 80D with 50mm and 18-55 mm lenses, Fujifilm X-S1 with a fixed 24-624 mm lens, Canon Powershot S95, Sanyo Xacti HD videocamera, a camerastrap and other small accessories and 1-2 flashlights.

Feedback

This was a hard one since i found this photo opportunity by accident. But an important advice i live by is to always look around you wherever you are. There is always something worth photographing.
