Location
This photo was taken in my home studio in ColoradoTime
Taken mid way through a afternoon shoot.Lighting
Working in a small area and lighting at my disposal made for quite a few issues getting the lights at the right location and the model at the right distance from the backdrop and me from her.Equipment
Nikon D90 with 35mm 1.8 lens hand held and 2 24" continuous soft boxes.Inspiration
During the first part of the shoot I saw her back work and came up with the idea of this photo.Editing
Post processing was limited to basic adjustments and converting to B&WIn my camera bag
The main staples that are always in my bag is of course my Nikon D800 body, my trusty 85mm 1.8 lens and my light meter. As well as lens cleaning supplies handful of filters extra batteries and cards. The rest fluctuates most of the time a lot of times till keep a 70-300 lens when out shooting wildlife.Feedback
The best words of advice is get a model that will work with you makes everything so much easier from the start. The next big thing is do not try this with continuous lighting go with flash. So much more powerful and allows you to have even more control of your lighting.
