Location
This photo was taken in Padre Island, Texas with my Note5Time
It was about 6 or 7pm when the sunset begins to show its true colors.Lighting
When I saw the sunset I initially just wanted the sky in the shot but I realized that I could get a much better pic if I crawled my way through the jetties. By the time I got the the desired spot it had gotten darker pretty quick so I had the phone settings on Pro mode and adjusted the aperture and ISO through there to get a brighter image.Equipment
I used just my normal old human hands and used my Note5 with the grid on so I can get a straighter shot. I just basically used the pro settings to get my desired shot.Inspiration
I love taking sunset shots and it was pretty much a moment that I couldn't just brush off. I knew that if I didn't take the shot it would haunt me for good. I've had plenty of shots that I've passed up and I completely regret it and didn't want to add this to that list. I'm also a guy for clouds and the clouds this sunset gave me made me really happy so that also motivated me to take that long walk out into the jetties to get this particular shot.Editing
No real post-processing was done to the picture other than making it straighter in crop mode. I adjusted the lighting a bit in TadaaIn my camera bag
I pretty much just carry my GoPro Hero 3 black edition with a water proof case and extra batteries with some basic mounts to get that unique shot. I also carry my iPhone 6+ for additional photos and post-processing. I normally put photos through the exclusive Tadaa app on the iPhone. I'm currently looking into a DSLR for a more professional shot.Feedback
Use a stabilizer if at all possible for low light shots if your camera doesn't have one by default. When changing the ISO for brightness just make sure everything in your shot isn't over exposed or too dark. If you have a camera with an amazing sensor you won't have to worry too much about how dark it is but if you don't then use a tripod for shots with lesser light because even with a stabilizer the shot could come out blurry and grainy.
