My husband and I decided to spend our 24th Anniversary up in the Smoky Mountains last weekend. We had hopes of catching some new waterfalls, the forecast was due to be cloudy but no rain. Unfortunately, rain moved in earlier than expected,so we spent most of the day just wondering around.lolol Heading back into Cherokee, NC I happened to look over onto the river banks and there sat 3 beautiful elk. What a site to see and photograph. As we were leaving I told my husband, "we will always have the elks", This was the moment we were destined to find. All the steps we made that day lead us to this very spot.
