I wanted to award this a Top Choice, but lately the award button has been acting goofy. Very nice photo here.

Location
This photo was taken at Rock City, just out side of Chattanoogo , TNTime
I try to stay away from mid daylight shots, especially when i am shooting waterfalls, so this photo was taken around 430. Still not the most ideal time, but since the park was closing, I had to make the best of it.Lighting
The best light for me when I am shooting waterfalls is on a misty day early morning.Equipment
nikond750 nikon 24-120 Vanguard Alta Pro tripodInspiration
I have lived in the south for over 25 years now, and have passed Rock City probably a thousand times, and each time I always say, I really would like to see that place. So a few saturdays ago on a clear fall day, I woke up and said to myself, "today is the day I am going to get that shot";)Editing
This photo ended up being a little more difficult to shoot than i thought. Probably the reason why i like to shoot my waterfalls on a cloudy day. I had the bright sunny sky, and the shadows over the waterfall, not the ideal shooting conditions, for sure. For this reason I thought it would be a good time to do a HDR shot, processed in PS. I added in a separate shot from the sky processed in nik collection, adding a few adjustment layers along the way.In my camera bag
I just bought my nikon d750, so right now I am working with my 24-120 lens, 110nikon, several ND filters, cleaning kit. Insignia external flash. I also have nikon d7100, nikor 300 fx, 50mm and 140 in my other bag. I always carry a bag of M&M in my side pocket to get me thru those times of being out in the middle of nowhere for hours on end.Feedback
One of the key things I have learned doing landscapes is you are not always going to have the ideal conditions for shooting. So it is imperative to learn how to adapt to the conditions given to you. That is exactly what i did in this photo. Never be afraid to try something new and most importantly have fun!!! Photography has changed my life in the best possible way. It has been an adventure of a life time;)
