Frost FOrest Sunrise

behind the lens badge

I am a frost junkie. I am always amazed at the way mother nature can create a landscape image from all sources.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at home in Jasper, Ontario Canada. This frosty window just happens to have a view the sunrise.

Time

Around 6:00am

Lighting

use all natural light.

Equipment

I used a Canon Rebel T-3 camera with a 18-55 mm macro lens. Automatic settings.

Inspiration

I have always loved the frost. It has its own unique patterns and faucets of light. I was inspired to take this image by nature and my own relentless creative drive.

Editing

Yes. I used Corel paint shop pro x5 to crop the image and enhance the colour temperature.

In my camera bag

My canon Rebel T-3 or these days T-5i. 3 lenses all canon- efs18-55mm macro, 18-55mm efs w/ image stabilizer and efs 55-250mm w/ image stabilizer. I carry a tripod and Optex lens cleaning pens.

Feedback

Get up early, find a frosty window and wait for the sun to rise. Use the natural light to your advantage. Don't be afraid to process your images.
