Plunger bow and arrows don't work so well but it was a fun sunny day and we enjoyed every minute of it.

Location
Our grade school has a little log cabin that students use and learn history. It's the cutest log cabin ever. Dressed by son up in his coon skin hat and grabbed a new bow and arrow set from the store. He tried and tried to get one to fly. The monkey in the picture, Newman, went everywhere with us. He still sleeps with him at night. <3Time
This was taken at the middle of the day. It sits in the nook of the school so the only time it really gets sun is noon until sunset.Lighting
Play with flash on and flash off. Take different angles to see how the sun or shadows look in the image. Take LOTs of images.Equipment
Camera and some bribery candy was all.Inspiration
I am always looking for unique pictures and areas where I live where no other person may have taken pictures. I call them secret spots even though this one is recognizable to anyone who lives in my town.Editing
To give it more of a rustic feel I added Sepia. I wanted it to look like those pictures you get at a Park/Tourist attraction where you dress up as a cowboy or a saloon girl.In my camera bag
A couple different cameras, a few different lenses, lens cleaner, backup battery, flash drives, gum and a few pieces of candy for bribing kids. If I know I'm going somewhere to take pictures, I throw my tripod in the back of my car.Feedback
Look for historical places and play "dress up". If it's a child, have them doing something that keeps them moving. Kids don't like to sit long.
