This one was actually taken in my mothers back gardenTime
maybe mid, late afternoon?Lighting
I actually really, really love how the lighting conditions turned out for this one, a gentle soft light broken by the trees overhead made for a really nice soft light set upEquipment
This one was freehand, with...an XSi if I remember my camera correctly and a rather small lensInspiration
Honestly? this one wasn't supposed to be the focus of the shot, I was attempting to shoot some Trillium out in the back woods when that random shot came up to make happen and it worked out far better than I ever expected it to, it turned out far, far better than any single shot of the trillium I was trying to take a photo of did and just kinda stuck when I started playing with it, and barely took much work to touch up on the back side eitherEditing
I do some, though most of my photos like this I just try to have 'pop' a little bit more if the light isn't just right, some I play around with, but this is one of those rare few that just feels better left almost entirely untouched. this photo is almost ten years old at this point and I was just learning, so little more than a few curve adjustments were probably made to itIn my camera bag
I keep a T5i, a 18-135 lens, a few filters, and a 250mm lens in my bag along with a rather randomly placed guide to everything just called a 'Pocket Ref' and some lens wipesFeedback
shoot everything that grabs your attention, I got this one off a random glance and thought it might be kinda cool despite the fact I was entirely focused on something entirely different at the time. most of the photos I've managed to capture are just spur of the moment kinda stuff, going out intending to shoot something else, and finding a small little gem in the mix I'd never have expected to find otherwise
