A very nice perspective on a 1940s (Chevy?) pickup truck. My compliments and congratulations on a well deserved finalist award.

What a breathtaking black and white. I love that I can see the sparkle on the car!

Location
This photo was taken at the opening of a bridge in our local area. The bridge was being named after a local police man that unfortunately lost his life in the line of duty a few years ago. It was a great show of community support to honour his life.Time
This was taken at 10 am just before the bridge was officially opened. We were waiting to be amongst the first to walk across and we were lucky to be actually near the show car exhibition so i snapped away while we waitedLighting
It was full daylight so there was no need for a flashEquipment
Nikon d5300 and a kit lensInspiration
I love vintage cars . My husband of 15 years wouldn't forgive me if i didn't. I always love seeing car images taken at unusual angles using the lines and curves of the vehicle and sometimes the lights and grills. I love how on some cars it all looks like facesEditing
Yes first of all i made it black and white which is obvious. I also used topaz and added a hdr effect in order to add shine and punch. I then reduced the background exposure so that the car was the only subject in the picture. In my camera bag
Omg i have way too much equipment in my bag !! Im an equipment hoarder. But my must haves are definitely my macro lens and my favorite lens ever my kit 18-55mm , spare battery and sd card and my speedlightFeedback
If its full daylight definitely have a good fstop so that you get the sparkling in the car the light stars . And dont b afraid to get low, up close , sideways etc . Experiment with what parts of the car you want in the frame
