Behind The Lens

Location

In my backyard after a bit of rain

Time

Morning around 9am

Lighting

Natural daylight and a torch

Equipment

my 18-55mm kit lens with a adapter ring for reverse lens macro

Inspiration

i love raindrops, i love how they sparkle i love how they can sometimes be suspended in time or attached to little critters. Im addicted to my reverse lens macro adapter ring so any chance i get ill use it :)

Editing

I lifted the exposure a little as reverse lens macro doesnt allow much light, and a few basics like sharpening, clarity.

In my camera bag

I always take everything i own, being relatively new to photography it isnt alot. But i never leave house without my reverse lens adapter and blue tac to hold my aperture open!

Feedback

If you dont have a tripod you will need a very stead hand, especially if you consider the cheaper alternative to macro lenses like using an adapter. the depth of field is very shallow so focus can be quite tricky to get, but i do love how it blurs the background most times. really pack the light in, use a flash, use a torch use anything, your photos will look better then getting light by increasing iso. Practice, even now i still get 50 out of focus shots and only a few nice sharp ones. Using a reversing ring is a challenge but its worth it.
