It was quite difficult to take the shot as I had to get quite close and was afraid that he would jump away. It was daylight and therefore light was a big problem as I was in Africa. It is so sunny that it sometimes is very difficult to see the result of your shot. I had to go to the shade several times and retake the picture.Equipment
OLYMPUS C760UZ. Nonother parts were necessary.Inspiration
Although I don't focus on insects as much as I do in scenery and unexpected events. My friend who does kept on taking pictures of flowers around us. When I looked to see how she was doing I saw this incredibly odd and polycolored insect. There were two and I had to follow it for a while until it became as interested in me as I was in him.Editing
Just a bit of contrast was added in order do differentiate the colors a bit more as it was a very sunny day. However the grasshoper itself was astonishing all alone. In my camera bag
I normally carry 2 cameras one of them with a lens with which I can zoom in. This way if there is anything I wouldn't have time to get ready for preparing the equipment, I already am set to shoot.Feedback
Sometimes beauty is right in front of our very eyes, we dont have to be looking to the horizon or expecting something to happen. Look around!! Art is all around!!
