One of my favourite New Zealand native birds. These small insectivores seem 'friendly', flittering about near passersby, gathering up the bugs they attract-disturb. They use their splendid fan-like tail (can't see it here as is folded away) to deftly manoeuvre in search of their prey.

You really have to look carefully to see what is likely a mosquito in his beak (striped legs protruding).
