Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was from a hotel room shoot in Hilton Head, SC.

Time

It was taken between 5pm and 6pm.

Lighting

She was facing an open window, which provides all natural light. All lights in the room were off.

Equipment

I took this with my Nikon P510, no flash.

Inspiration

We were playing around with mirror shots with her shirt open, when she took off the shirt, I asked her to hold on to it for a moment so I could get a couple of extra shots. This one was a favorite.

Editing

I used Lightroom simply to brighten the image just a bit.

In my camera bag

I always have my camera, tripod, umbrella lights, and an extensive wardrobe for the models to choose from.

Feedback

Use as much natural light as possible, just a personal preference.
