I took this photo on my back porch.Time
It was late afternoon about an hour before sunset.Lighting
It is all natural lighting, the sun was behind me making the colors particularly bright.Equipment
I used my Nikon Coolpix P510, macro setting, ISO 100, f/3.5, no flash.Inspiration
I was looking for something a little different to represent some bright spring colors. I wanted something different from the usual bouquet of flowers. I eventually came to a bouquet of colored pencils in a Mason jar.Editing
I only brightened the colors in Lightspeed by adding a little vibrance.In my camera bag
I just keep my camera and my tripod, along with an extra memory card just in case.Feedback
I just had to make sure the container was completely full so the pencils were standing straight up. From there, its a matter of randomly assorting the colors or placing them in a rainbow to achieve the desired effect.
