Mobile Alabama skyline.

Mobile has a small skyline but so pretty! They have the buildings lit with colored lights that are coordinated to change colors. Right now they are lit orange for the collegiate Senior Bowl which will be played in Mobile.
We had to scout around for a location to take the pictures. I wanted the buildings lined up just so with the water in the foreground. We checked google maps for what might be a good spot. We drove there late afternoon and found an open gate and driveway through a ship yard. No one was around so we drove to the back and parked, walked over a dilapidated and fallen fence to a vacant lot next door: perfect! We got all setup and dusk was on us. It was starting to look good! Then a guy came by and said we had to leave because he was locking the gate! Wait, NO, not yet! Argh! So we drove down the street about 100 yards and found another open gate. There was a tug driver there who said he was just leaving for a job and would be back in an hour. We could stay until he got back, then he would be locking that gate. Yahoo! So we walked through the yard to the back and found we could get to the exact same spot we were at before! How funny!
In the second picture you can see the tug boat on his way back. He's blurred because of the slow exposure.
What a fun adventure getting these pictures! I hope you enjoy them.
