Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken at cape schank, in the Mornington peninsula. Victoria

Time

Just before sunset

Lighting

Not really, natural lighting

Equipment

Nikon d750, tokina 16-28, and manfrotto tripod. And a cable release shutter

Inspiration

That day the sun was beautiful, the clouds were unbelievable and this is one of my favourite places to shoot. checked the weather, tide and it was perfect. Perfect day perfect photo

Editing

I used photomatix to blend the 7 exposures I shot, and then a bit of saturation and clarity in lightroom

In my camera bag

Nowadays nikon d750 with battery pack, nikon 16-35 f4, nikon 50 f1.4 and a nikon 70-200 f2.8 vr. Nd6 filter, nd1000 filter, soft grad and reverse grad filters, cable release, remote control shutter, wipes, batteries, sd cards and a protein bar

Feedback

For landscapes especially waterscapes, always check weather, tides and sun position. Preparation is key!
