Behind The Lens

Location

Lonsdale pier in the Mornington peninsula, Victoria. Australia

Time

It was during summer here on the very early sunrises at around 5am

Lighting

Not really... Natural light. Its all about the sun :)

Equipment

Captured with my beloved nikon d750, a tokina 16-28mm 2.8 lens and the tripod

Inspiration

Love this pier as it goes well into the ocean and the sun comes up just behind it. It's a photography dream

Editing

Yes, a bit on lightroom. Brought up the shadows and added a dark filter in the sky to give it that dramatic look. Natural colours

In my camera bag

Nikon d750 with a battery pack, nikon 16-35 f4, 50mm f1.4 and a 70-200mm f2.8 vr. Some filters, a nd64 and a nd1000 and my tripod. And a protein bar :)

Feedback

Plan your photos, have a look at the weather, sun position, moon position, sunrise and sunset times and just wait for those 10 magical minutes :)
