Location
This was shot at Mattool beach which is beautiful beach located rurally in Kannur district of Kerala, one of the Indian state. My little brother took me there while i was in Kerala on vacation.Time
We reached there right after Sunset. Clouds and colors were amazing.Lighting
Its a long exposure shot. Light was low because sun had already set. The person in photo is my brother. I made him stand still for some seconds and yeah he did well.Equipment
Camera is Nikon D3200 with Sigma 10-20 mm lens. Tripod was used since its a long exposure shot. No flash was needed and i wanted to keep the photo little bit darker.Inspiration
Inspiration was that boat seen in the photo. When i saw it placed perfectly towards sea, idea rang in my mind and immediately clicked it. I didnt have much time to plan since sun already disappeared and it was getting darker.Editing
Yeah. I worked raw file in Lightroom. I didnt want to over do it. So some basic editing like changes in contrast, shadow, highlight and such features.In my camera bag
Of course camera and lenses. I always carry cleaning kit. A wifi adapter. A light torch.Feedback
Using objects or props present at the area of shoot will give an extra edge to your photo. Like in this photo i used the boat. Without that boat the photo doesnt have any value. So have a good eye and observe the location, then just use your imagination. Definitely photography is about your imagination of a moment.
