Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on the shore of the lake that is just down the hill from my house.

Time

This photo was taken at sunrise

Lighting

On the morning that I took this photo I went down to the lake and couldn't believe how vibrant the colors were! The more the sun came up, the more colors appeared! It was amazing.

Equipment

This was shot with my Canon T3 camera with a 18-55mm lens. I didn't use a tripod for this particular photo but I usually do for most of my other pictures.

Inspiration

I knew I wanted to take a picture of the sunrise, but I didn't know exactly where I wanted to take it. I went down to the lake down the hill from my house and immediately saw the colors coming up from the horizon and knew that I had the take the pictures there.

Editing

This picture actually sous by have any type of filter or editing on it! The colors of the sunset were so vibrant that I didn't need to use any of that to make the picture beautiful!

In my camera bag

I always have my canon t3 camera with my 18-55mm lens with me. I pack an extra battery and memory card just in case. I also bring my 75-300mm lens just in case I want to take pictures of something far away. And lastly I bring my tripod and my remote that goes along with it to take pictures without touching my camera so that my camera doesn't move.

Feedback

Honestly, I am still a beginning photographer. For this picture all I did was point and shoot. My only advice would be, if you see something beautiful, don't hesitate to take a picture of it!
