This photo was taken at Clarkes Point in Sydney. This was my second attempt at capturing fireworks. I thought what better way to do so then to camp out at Clarkes Point during new years eve.Time
This image was taken at 12am. Camped out for 2 days on the harbour waiting for this moment, which was totally worth it in the end. Felt really proud of what i had achieved considering a self taught.Lighting
Lighting is still one of the biggest issues i have at the moment,as an amateur photographer it is still something i need to learn. The lighting wasn't my main concern at the time,it was the countdown that i was waiting for. Because i knew once 12am came,i knew there was going to be a massive display of fireworks.Equipment
For this image i used my Nikon D3200 mounted on a tripod. Used my kit lens that my D3200 came with. No remote shutter release. Just a camera and tripodInspiration
New Years in Sydney is known all over the world. What better way to experience these amazing displays of colour and light then to be actually sitting in front of these amazing fireworks. Fireworks have been a subject I've wanted to capture for a long time. Im really proud and happy i did with this imageEditing
The only thing i did with this image was brighten the shot a bit. That was it. Nothing else was done.In my camera bag
The gear i normally take with me is of course my tripod and my kit lens. At the moment i have a tamron 300mm macro telephoto lens. I am limited by what i can take with that lens,it hasn't let me down yet. My macbook comes with me all the time. I don't carry very much because I'm still relatively new to photographyFeedback
The only advice i have to anyone is. Time and patience. Trial and error.
