Behind The Lens

Location

Taken at Bibi-Ka-Maqbara, Aurangabad, India. Taken during a family visit.

Time

Taken during a family visit around 1 pm! The view seemed too simple while passing by, but when I happened to peep-through along with my little daughter through the window, I knew it was worth a click! My daughter was the one who inspired me to look at this from a different perspective! I still wish, I could have been more patient to have the people move aside to get a perfect uninterrupted click! But in places as such, where tourists come in large numbers, what I clicked was still worth I guess!

Lighting

Though lighting wasn't much that I could give importance to at the time of this particular click, what mattered was the afternoon sunlight falling on the far end to give it a look of "From darkness to Light", which did play wonders!

Equipment

This one was a more impromptu click with my cellphone - HTC Desire 820s.

Inspiration

My biggest inspiration was my little daughter when she was peeping through. Following her footsteps, i happened to get this view and thought this can make a good one provided i try to get some perspective out of it! The afternoon light and the perfect view using my cellphone (wish i could have used my DSLR), gave me the right pic. I still wanted to click it with no people around, but could not. :(

Editing

This picture clicked through my cellphone did not need any further processing as it was more of an impromptu click! I just had to crop it a bit!

In my camera bag

Nikon D5300 (with AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm and Nikon 55-200 mm Lens); cleaning kit, camera bag and my handy cellphone are things that I usually carry. A spare battery and a Photron Tripod Stedy 450 with 4.5 Feet Pan Head are accompanied during long outings to scenic places.

Feedback

Monuments usually are captured best when they get illuminated in light. Best been when you have the morning and late evening sun rays falling on them! But clicking something from inside a monument to something in its premises might need sunlight falling on that sole object/thing requires direct sunlight! Perspective of looking at things do matter. Hence simple things can also turn into something extra-ordinary! You just need an eye for such small but unique things!
