Behind The Lens

Location
Photo was taken at St. Marks NWR located in northwest Florida shortly after a controlled burn that got out of hand.
Time
In the late morning hours after a short rain
Lighting
There was spotted light shinning thru the canape above.
Equipment
Nikon D810 camera, Nikon 105mm Macro lens, Tripod, shutter release,
Inspiration
There were several down trees that were severely burned from the fire. I noticed a number of butterflies in the location and saw these two butterflies land on one of them. Since they were fairly close to each other, I thought it would make a interesting photo.
Editing
Yes, I used Lightroom for some minor adjustments and thats about it,
In my camera bag
Since I'm a Nature Photographer, I usually carry my Nikon D810 camera, 16-35mm, 24-85mm, 70-200mm lenses. A Shutter Release, LEE Filters such as a Little and Big Stopper, 0.3, 0.6, and 0.9 ND Filters, a 2, 3, and 4 Stop ND Grads, LEE Holder for 100mm Squares, Reflectors and Diffusion Panel, B&W Circular Polarizer and a LEE 100x100mm Square Polarizer, Extension Tubes, LED Light, Off-Camera Flash, Induro carbon fiber tripod, RRS Ball-head, rain cover for camera & lenses, rain gear.
Feedback
Lots of patience is required, look in damp wooded areas after a rain, take a chair or sit on a log or stump and wait, let them come to you.If using a macro lens, the DoF will be very shallow, use an aperture of f/22 or greater. And Good Luck
