This is Kio, and this photo was taken at my step mom's beautiful acreage just 20 minutes north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where i go to have our family gatherings.Time
i would say this photo was taken just shortly after we had supper, the kids were playing and running around with the dogs Kio and Ruby, the rest of the family and i were sitting around the fire pit talking eating marshmellows and have the best of timeLighting
it was a perfect evening, no wind, not to sunny with a little bit of clouds. so the lighting was perfect for taking natural and raw photos, which is the kind of photos i like to take. i don't like doing a lot if editing, because in my opinion it just takes away from what the photo is trying to tell you in that particular moment. Everyone says that pictures speak 1000 words, but what i see when i'm looking through either my camera or the photos that i have taken is that pictures don't just speak 1000 words they tell you a story.Equipment
Believe it or not but this photo was actually taken with the camera on my samsung galaxy note edgeInspiration
what inspired me to take this photo was, i'm a huge animal lover and every chance that i get i'm always taking photos of any kind of animal whether it's birds in the wild, fish in the water or your regular house pet. but this picture i just thought was the cutest, and what i think Kio is trying to say is that he was tired from running and playing with the kids and all he wanted to do was lay in the shade and go to sleepEditing
no i did not use any post processingIn my camera bag
The equipment i normally have is my Sony camera, 2 lenses which are my regular lens and my zoom lens, 2 memory cards and i also bring my battery charger just in case i need it.Feedback
My advice is take lots of photos at family gathering and not just of the people that you are with but of the animals too...you never know they might surprise you with some really great stories to tell.
