Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was shot in Old Montreal at the port.

Time

It was fall, in October of 2015 at about 3pm.

Lighting

The sun was low and was coming in across the path.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon T1i and a 24-70 2.8 II.

Inspiration

I was on a delivery trip with my new girlfriend and asked her to walk away from me so I could get a couple shots.. I love fall and she looked perfect that day!

Editing

I imported the raw into lightroom and adjusted it for sat, cont, and used a subtle HDR preset I made, then took it CS5 to tweek the sharpness and add a bit of blur.

In my camera bag

I usually carry a couple of bodies, either Nikon and or Canon with a 11-16 wide angle, a Medium zoom and a long zoom. Hate not having the right focal length when I'm out shooting..

Feedback

Shoot shoot and shoot, it's the simple shots that always seem to pop!
