Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo during a class on how to use lighting to enhance our photos.

Time

This photo was taken indoors. I arranged the items to my liking and then got in close to take the photo. I adjusted the lighting to give it light and shadows.

Lighting

we were learning how to use lighting effectively when taking photos. I adjusted the lighting to give off light and shadows on the objects.

Equipment

Nikon D5300 with a 18-300mm lens with a macro attachment on the lens.

Inspiration

I was inspired to take this photo because I enjoy old fashion things and the old glasses, gloves and Marshall badge were just what I was looking for.

Editing

Yes I used the old On-1 program to bring out the textures. I also adjusted the lights and shadows and balanced the colors, etc.

In my camera bag

I know have a D750 with multiple lens for various subjects such as wide angle for landscape, macro lens for up close and zoom lens for all others. I still carry the D5300 with me and love my 18-300mm lens.

Feedback

Make sure to adjust your lighting so that it shows the most important parts of your photo and get in close to capture the textures, text, etc.
