This photo was taken at Low Head in Tasmania, Australia. I am a self taught photographer and this is one of my favorite places t just sit and liten to the waves crash on the rocks.Time
This was taken late afternoon, just after a storm rolled through the area. My brother and I decided to go for a drive to take some photos seeing how amazing the clouds were looking, and we both needed to walk off a big Christmas meal from the day before. While wandering the area I decided to look back towards the light house and was lucky to see the amazing cloud formations around it. Taken 26th December 4:40 pmLighting
The lighting was one of those times of being in the right place at the right time. I turned and saw how well the lighthouse was lit up from the sunlight coming through the clouds.Equipment
Shot on a Nikon D90 on a Nikkor 18-55 ml lenses. I was sitting on the ground at the time.Inspiration
I was siting listening to the waves, turned and was amazing at the lighting contrasting against the dark clouds. I was one of those moments of, you just feel that no matter how dark and turbulent things become, there is always light and you will shine though.Editing
I developed this photo in lightroom, as it was shot in RAW. This enabled me to show the contrast of the dark clouds and the light shining on the lighthouse. In my camera bag
I have in my bag, a flash, my Nikon D90, a 50ml lense, A Tamron 70-300ml and Nikkor 18-55 ml lense. This is the basic for my landscape photos and including a tripod.Feedback
Tasmania is such a beautiful unique place, having the coast so close to me, means that its possible to get near there within a little over half an hour. This makes it easier to get amazing weather photos. One thing I highly recommend, is getting down low somethings, this can give you a very different prospective in what may be a subject that is photographed often. Always remember to look behind you, as you may never know what is waiting when you turn and look aver your shoulder. :)
