Location
This photo was taken on an outdoor location when I was on a Sunday outing with my family to a lake around 40 Kms from my place. It is called Damdama lake in Haryana ,IndiaTime
It was around 11 in an overcast morningLighting
It was slightly cloudy. The light was diffused so I had to shoot in RAW for post processing .Equipment
It was shot in my Nikon D5200 with my kit lens 18-105 vr Nikkor . It was a hand held shot.Inspiration
We were actually waiting for this boat to come back for us to take on the other side of the lake. The incoming boat in still and serene waters prompted me to take my camera out and take the shot. I tried to get the shot when the paddles were in horizontal position to give an effect of flying though that did not come out very well...Editing
Yes , since the light was not sufficient I opened up the shadows in LR and also adjusted contrast and clarity..In my camera bag
Apart from my kit of Nikon D5200 and 18-105 VR, the bag contains a 50mm 1.8d, a 70-300 lens and my new love 35mm Nikkor. I also carry a trigger cord for taking long exposures and extension tubes. I also do not forget to keep cleaning kit in my bag and a UV filter and a ND filter. My kit is not expensive as I still need time to decide whether it will be worth to invest in more expensive equipment at this juncture..Feedback
I am a person who is exploring photography..I love holding the camera and try everything be it macro, landscape ,portraits . But I love B&W and shots which are minimal.. For this one needs to either go where there are no crowds or get up early. And always load your camera . You might not get time to put in a card and then adjust settings..
